The Dorn Method
Are you falling to pieces with back, neck or joint pain?
Are you suffering from headaches or migraine ?
To get on the road on the road to recovery, you need to try a Dorn Method treatment.
What is the Dorn method?
The Dorn Method is a gentle and safe Complementary therapy focusing on the cause of back and joint pain. It is used to correct misalignments of the spine and other joints, targeting common health problems including: -
Headaches & migraines
Joint problems such as hip, shoulder, elbow, ankle
Leg length difference
What is involved in a Dorn treatment?
The Dorn therapist works together with you at all times. Commencing with a leg length comparison check. A high percentage of people who have back pain show to have a leg length difference often due to poor seating in the hip joint. The therapist will then make simple, safe corrections as necessary.
The Dorn method checks the following areas in your body for any misalignments : - pelvis, lumbar, thoracic (spinal column) and cervical vertebrae (neck). Any imbalances or vertebrae which are found to be out of place are corrected using very gentle and safe techniques.
How does the Dorn Method work?
All corrections take place in a very dynamic way, working together with the therapist moving the joint being corrected. In doing so related muscles are ‘distracted’ causing joints to slip back into place. This principle makes The Dorn Method so unique. Therefore there is no clicking or crunching of joints, no jerky manipulation. All moves are carried out very gently and in full active co - operation and participation with the Dorn Method therapist.
How will I benefit from a Dorn treatment?
The therapist will also teach you simple, easy to learn self help exercises, which are designed to be practised at home to help keep the hip joint in place and the spine sitting straight
